Boiled Wool Embroidered Linen Pillow Cover

This 22" x 14" Hand-loomed linen pillow cover is finished with an overcast satin stitch to match the embroidered boiled wool appliqué. A treasured Hungarian heirloom, the boiled wool once graced the inside of a woolen vest and was re-purposed as a pillow cover in the 19th century. It has tie closures, and the boiled wool design reverses to a natural linen side. It is also edged with a boiled wool detail. Inserts sold separately and we recommend our 17” x 24” designer style overstuffed inserts to make this into a decorative pillow that will bring any room a spot of beauty.
